We know that holidays and short breaks, particularly in the summer months, are very expensive and simply out of reach for many families. However, thanks to the generosity of Toyota UK and HH Global we have been able to offer some fun and exciting days out for our local community, particularly the children to enjoy during August instead.
B@titude at the Beach
Thanks to Toyota UK, we were able to hire two large coaches to take 120 people to Brighton for the day at the beginning of August. As one parent said ‘we don’t get to do things like this as a family so it means the world to us.’ The sun shone all day and everyone had a fantastic time. Families enjoyed the beach, the arcades and exploring the town. Thanks to HH Global there was also the added bonus of an ice-cream. ‘We had an amazing day, thank you so much for the ice-cream treat too. We’re so lucky to be blessed by all that B@titude does’
Picnic in the Park
The fun continued at the end of August with our picnic in the park. We feel it’s so important to gather the community together and so we were delighted that almost 300 people from our local community joined us on the recreation ground just opposite the shop with their picnics at the ready.
In the words of a local grandparent ‘My grandsons enjoyed themselves so much. The slide, ride and ice creams were a real treat. It was great to see so many children and adults making use of the park at the same time’ Once again, we were blessed with amazing weather and thanks to Toyota UK, we were able to hire a large inflatable slide and plane ride for the children to enjoy for free. And enjoy them they did. As one mum told us ‘My son Jack had a lovely day, he loved the ride so much he wouldn’t get off it!’ There was a great atmosphere, happy children and adults everywhere and as well as the slide and the plane ride there was also the playground, parachute and limbo game to enjoy. HH Global paid for the children to have an ice-cream which was an added treat. As one father put it ‘I said to my wife that I wasn’t sure how we were going to pay for the rides and an ice cream for the children so it was amazing to find out it was all free. This never happens! What a treat’
