B@TITUDE Statement of support for River Lane travellers

Recently a ruling from the Secretary of State granted  the group of travellers who have lived on River lane in Leathehead since 2003 a further 3 years  temporary permission giving the council time to find them a permanent solution.

We have been privileged to support and journey with the families at River Lane over a number of years,  behind the headlines and planning regulations are several families who dearly love being a part of the community in Leatherhead. The children are part of local schools and the family receive support from lot’s of different people and groups in the area.

We will continue to stand with them in their hope of securing permanency which will allow them to continue their lives here and give them the stability they have been looking for.
