For the last two summers we have organised various trips to places like London Zoo, Drusillas Theme Park and Hobbledown Farm. This year we took 159 people to Butlins in Bognor for the day thanks to The Leatherhead Community Association and The Family Holiday Association.
When we shared the date with our community the two coaches worth of spaces were filled within hours! We were not expecting this and it has definitely been our most popular outing. We found ourselves left with many disappointed families who missed out. It proves to us just how important these opportunities are to families, to have something affordable to look forward to in the long holidays. We couldn’t leave our disappointed families behind so we booked a third coach!
It was a jammed packed day of fun with so much for families to do. Some enjoyed the circus, some the rides and others the swimming pool. The beach is only metres away from the resort so fish n chips were shared and the sun shined the whole day. It was a really positive day for everyone who came.
