The summer months can be pressured for families on a low income so we wanted to provide a couple of opportunities for our community to get away, connect and have fun!
Our first trip was two coaches full to Littlehampton for the day. Families enjoyed fish n chips on the beach, crab fishing, the local theme park and exploring the town. For the majority of those who came, this will be their only outing and something affordable to do together. We had great feedback.

We also held a large community picnic on our local recreation ground where we hired a large inflatable slide and train ride. We partnered with the local police and council to make the event a bigger celebration. We had the ambulance service, firemen, craft stalls, face painting and free ice creams for the children! We think we had around 400 people that day, young and old, families and individuals. It was a brilliant time for everyone involved and we’ve had great feedback.
